Add Video to Your Email in Four Easy Steps

A picture speaks a thousand words .... a video says it all.

There's no doubt about it: video adds impact. But how do you add a video clip to a mass email? You're probably already adding video links in your emails, but links are easily overlooked. A video clip is what really attracts supporters to click, but how is that done?

"Can a video be embedded in an HTML email?"
The answer is'yes' and 'no.' You cannot 'embed' the video into your HTML email using a YouTube sniplet, for example. That code won't work in an HTML email. But you can 'embed' the video image with an hidden link to the video and supporters will click on it. Supporters can't tell if the image resulted via sniplet or JPEG. They just know if they see something that looks like a video image, they need to click on it.

It's as easy as 1, 2, 3...4

Watch the 2-min video or follow the step-by-step instructions below.

1) View your video and pause on the preferred clip image.
2) Take a screenshot of the clip (including the video frame to make it look more like the video) and save it as a JPEG.
3) Add the image to your HTML email.
4) Add the link to video web host (eg: YouTube, your website, etc).

That's it! It's really that simple AND effective. Your supporters will love the videos and you'll reap the rewards. Best of luck!
